Chini’s Burritos Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I have been going here with my family since they opened I found it by accident as it's not easily seen from University. I was longing to find a Mexican restaurant that I was used to growing up and living in in Chicago for 30 years. The owners are unbelievably sweet and I love them we affectionately call her mama. One bite of the steak taco I knew that I had found my new place. I have tried many items on the menu all are very, very good the guacamole has big pieces of avocado with homemade chips - delicious!! We go here a ton and every time it's a wonderful experience. Thank you mama Chini and family for brining great Mexican good to South Florida!

This is a mom and pop/family restaurant. Its not fancy, it just good real Mexican food. If you are looking for a frozen Margarita and a pinata, this is not the place for you. Go to La Bamba (which I LOVE for fajitas ,margaritas, etc.) However here, it is all about the steak burrito for me. The steak burrito is still the very best burrito I have ever had. And I have lived in new England, Houston, San Francisco, west coast of Florida and then here. I have been coming here for years- weekly when I lived here and now coming down to Florida every month I still come here. I never do not run in and get the steak burrito. It is perfect with marinated steak, beans, lettuce, tomato. It is all very fresh and much different (in the best way possible) than Chipotles or Moe's or any of those chains, No where else is the salsa so fresh and good. It's not cheap - go to Taco Bell if you want cheap What it is is homemade Mexican food that is made by Chini herself. That's hard to find. I have not experienced the other issues other Yelpers had with oil and small portions. My mother loves the chicken tacos because the chicken meat is stewed all day and has that homemade wonderful taste. The rice and refried beans are also good- again, much better than a chain. So please appreciate this for what it is - if it's not to your taste (and again, when I am in the mood for frozen margaritas and fajitas and fun, I go to La Bamba ) then go somewhere else.

Food: I thought the food tasted great! I ordered a burrito and it was hot, flavorful, and authentic. If you're looking for something simple and sort of quick in the Mexican palate, but not chain stuff, I do suggest this! Tip: If you ask for spicy, it is super SUPER spicy. The salsa wasn't tangy like Tabasco...just super hot. Service: There were only two people on staff so lunch hour took a while. I think waiting in line plus getting my food took about 20 minutes so if you're in a crunch for time and you're looking to savor your burrito bites, I would suggest coming later in the day. Environment: The place is very homey and small but it feels like a grandmother's kitchen! I think it's just right. The food was really great but there's something about this place that doesn't sparkle. Perhaps its's the lack of human connection from the staff even though they are SO kind--I'm not quite sure.

Tonight I tried the enchiladas with refried beans and rice. Pretty tasty for a mom and pops Mexican restaurant. My mom had the flautas which were crispy in a good way. If you want a little kick of spice added to your food then ask for the mild green salsa. I will definitely be back to visit because of the customer service I received and the food. The owner I assume was the one who greeted me tonight. Great customer service! My only thing is that I wish they provided some type of dressing with the small salad on my plate. Just a little weird having no dressing. There are not many good spanish places around this area. Many are franchises which sometimes seem mediocre and nothing special. But this place has potential and I will be back!

This is the best Mexican food I have eaten in south florida! The food is delicious and flavorful! Chini is wonderful and friendly. There's nothing better than authentic food! My boys and I have our favorites here all though I come often enough to try different things! Come try this place you won't regret it!

Never again. I read all these amazing reviews and thought I'd give it a try. The menu online is old and the prices were +3 and 4$ for everything. I ordered the #1 burrito and my boss ordered the taco plate. Her tacos were beyond bland. Literally just grilled chicken breast in bread with cheese. 9$. Really?? My burrito was SMALL. Borderline half the size of chipotle and 10$! Half the burrito was mashed up tortilla since it wasn't filled as much as it could have been and it was majority beans and lettuce. I paid extra for 3 pieces of steak. I'm pissed at the wasted money and the fact that at 5'5" and 135lbs, I'm still hungry like I ate nothing at all. Maybe it's because I ordered take away, but either way, it's criminal. Never ever going back, not even for free.

Absolutely delicious, authentic Mexican food! The owner is friendly and always has as smile on her face. Everything you order will be delicious!

I got greeted by the main lady here. She's such a loving person. She took my order and explained that my food was very spicy (chilaquiles). Me being tuff, I told her I could handle it because I'm Mexican lol. They are from a different state (Chiapas) than the one I'm from (Jalisco) so the food varies in taste even if it's the same food. So far I am pleased with atmosphere of this place. Lots of smiles and it smells delicious. My first bite and its mouthwatering. So many flavors and the right amount of spice. I'm not a big fan of onions, let alone raw onions, but the taste is just great. The cilantro adds so much flavor. The beans remind me of my mother's beans (and they have no lard!) which means they are really good. The rice is tasty too. I also got some tamales to take home and I'm excited to try them later. Overall I was very satisfied with this delicious food. Definitely a place to check out. Humble and delicious!!!!!!

After reading the resounding reviews we were excited to try this restaurant. We were greatly disapointed the food had little flavor we couldn't eat the red salsa and for the price I wouldn't think they woul make you go up to order and use paper plates and astic utensils. We will never go back a better alternative is Taco Bell and cheaper.

I've had the fish tacos both times I've been here, they're so good! The fish isn't heavily battered or deep fried like so many places in the area, it's just lightly coated in flour and pan fried. The three tacos have a generous portion of fish in each. The only downside is that it doesn't come with anything, not even chips. Although the tacos are filling, I like a little variety on my plate. But for a few more dollars it's worth ordering a side or rice and beans, then you have enough food to share or have leftovers. The service has always been pleasant and both times I've seen plenty of regulars picking up food. Worth a try!

A+ for Mexican food, but I wasn't expecting it to be as pricey as it was given it's hole in the wall feel. I will definitely be going back, but not when I'm looking for something cheap. Not many tables in the restaurant and mainly take out. Very helpful staff and they'll provide the wifi password if you ask.

I've tried plenty of burrito restaurant and this once has to be the worst I spent over 12 dollars on a steak burrito that was skimp on meat and prepped so bad that I ate everything one by one instead of taking a bite of the entire thing together. Only good part of my visit was the service waiter was perfect trying his best to please us customers but the food just ruined the whole visit.

Great local spot. Delicious homemade Mexican food and great, friendly service. I can not believe I didn't know about this place sooner. My new favorite. Been there about 6-7 times so far and everything has been great. Cute place but it's a small space with only about 6 tables inside and 2 or 3 outside but they also do to-go service. A must try.

This is the real deal. If you have good taste in Fresh Mexican food done right, you would not dream of bothering with one of the chain burrito joints along University Drive. Chini knows what she's doing. The guacamole is super fresh, the sauces and salsa are bursting with flavor...oh, and ask for tamales. She often runs out. So good!

I just want to start off by saying that I REALLY wanted to love this place. The women who work there were friendly and fast. I am a sucker for a mom and pop place. I ordered the steak burrito and my girlfriend had the chicken wet burrito with the red sauce. We also ordered a side of guacamole. The burrito was wrapped perfectly and the tortilla was delicious. However, there was no flavor. I couldn't taste any of the ingredients. I was expecting flavorful meat and beans. Also, it was extremely oily. I mean puddles of grease. My girlfriend agreed that there was no flavor whatsoever. The guacamole wasn't what we were expecting. It was more of an avocado salad, not mashed together. It also lacked spice and heat or even lime. I am still undecided if I would return.

  • Rich M.

Back again, I've had the wet burritos in the past and thwy were fresh and really tasty. This time I'm going with the pork tacos (2 per order) and Chini's beef tacos (flour). Note: this is authentic Mexican, so only soft tacos here (flour or corn)! Great food and family-run family service!

I stumbled upon this tiny spot called Chini's Burritos, thanks to all my fellow Yelpers, photos, and reviews. Well they sure didn't let me down! I walked in, and the smell from the kitchen was amazing. The menu was small and simple. I didn't know what to order, as I was stuck on the number 1 & 2 burrito. They both sounded so delish. I decided to go with the number two with ground beef. It's smothered in non-spicy red sauce (if you like spicy go with green sauce). Wow! I was overwhelmed with all these great flavors in my mouth. This truly was outstanding along with their fresh guacamole. It def hit the spot for me. Now they do make their food fresh, so be prepare to wait a good 20-30mins for your food. I would give it 5 stars but the wait time as I was really hungry was a bit disappointing for me. But then again, this is more of a takeout spot. So next time, I will order my food and pick it up. I will def be back again.

Green wet burrito is so yummy! I love the homemade feel of the restaurant, they treat you like family here

Tucked away in a shopping plaza, Chini's is not a place you stumble upon. We only found it because we were looking for authentic Mexican food - not easy to find- and we Yelped it. Great burritos! They run about 9 bucks and they are delicious and very filling!

Another bookmark crossed of the list. I drive by here 3 to 4 times per week, but my hesitation for stopping had always been that they only accepted cash and I'm a plastic kind of a guy. Well they do accept plastic now! I went with the #2 chicken smothered in green sauce. My burrito arrived swimming in "Lake Verde" or should I say floating because this burrito was too big to swim. Cutting into this beast you could see the freshly cooked & shredded chicken, none of that corporate prepackaged shipped in stuff. The tomatoes were some of the reddest and juiciest that I've ever seen. This place is fast & friendly and the food was wonderful.

One of our favorite places in the area - Green Wet Burrito is to die for, amazing! Senora Chini is always very friendly, food has always great taste and is prepared with love. And if you're lucky, they have also home made horchata.

  • Chris G.

OMG! First off, it took me way to long to come here... Amazing! I'm pretty flexible when it comes to my Mexican, so I asked what was best. They told me everything is... No help there, so I just started at the top of the menu with Chini's Original Burrito with steak. It was fabulous! Fresh, flavorful, messy... Everything a burrito should be. I followed that up with an order of buñuelos... Basically a fried flour tortilla drizzled with some sort of amazing caramel cream topping. Just lovely. I can't wait to be hungry again to work further through the menu. The only sad point for me was the lack of horchata, but the Jarritos will suffice for now... I will most definitely be back! PS. Edit to add: paid by card so not cash only any more...

I'm having hunger pains at the mere thought of writing this review. I was craving a burrito and yelped this place and decided to come because of the high reviews. Being a pescatarian, I couldn't decide on ordering the wet shrimp burrito or the wet fish burrito. I ultimately chose the shrimp burrito with green enchilada sauce and it was muy heavenly. The shrimp was cooked perfectly with the tales the cut off and was super spicy. I appreciate that you can substitute anything on the menu and have anything made the way you want it. For instance, I could have any menu item consisting of pork or beef and substitute it with a creature of the sea. The food was very delicious and although I'm going to Mexico in June I believe that this is as close as it gets in Coral Springs. The burrito was a generous size and was absolutely worth every bite. SN: The owner is so sweet and cute. I wish she was my abuela.

I wish I could give them 10 stars! They're the best! Nicest staff, best best food! Delicious empanadas, burritos, quesadillas, everything!! Fresh, quality ingredients and excellent service! I wish we lived closer, I'd come here everyday!! :) :) :)

Should be Take Out ONLY. Sorry! Please consider that I did not get to have their food. But I just went to this place because of all the great reviews but the service is bad!!! We waited for a while and the lady seem bothered by our presence. I took a paper menu while she disappeared. When the lady finally made herself available, I asked if they had another menu. Meaning like a restaurant menu. Most restaurants have both. She pointed at the wall and said "just that menu and whats on the wall, isnt that enough for you?". Needless to say, we just left. :( sad I did not get the experience that others did. Also, no steak available on the menu or the "wall".

Very good and quick food. Burrito, tacos were very good. Pico de gallo was fresh. Super friendly service. Will definitely be back for more.

Delicious family style Mexican food.... very very tasty. Homemade guacamole is yummy and their chicken quesadillas Mmmmmm

The best ever! The lady who owns the restaurant does get occasionally annoyed at customers expecting Americanized Mexican food but she is as sweet as they come. This place is the real deal. She makes everything from scratch. The wet burrito is to die for. The steak tacos are simple and superb. Chinis has never failed me. Authentic Mexican food here!

This place is a gem. Don't judge based off of the plastic fork and knife, the food is delicious! -- The wet burrito with the verde sauce is my favorite!

  • Andi S.

My boyfriend and i went to chini's for lunch, and we weren't disappointed. We both had a "Wet burrito", mine, chicken and green; his, steak and red. Both were delicious, fluffy, fresh, filled with the ingredients you actually want. Their salsa Verde was homemade, delicious, and flavorful. Their spicy salsa was no joke - hot, but still robust in taste. Reasonably priced, and the staff are lovely. Only downside is they're closed on Sundays.

Best food ever! My hubby and I go all the time. Our fav is the steak fajitas. Also, their guacamole is amazing. Best authentic Mexican food.

I've refrained from writing this review in hopes that things would change, but alas, they have not and here I am. I want to start off with saying that I've been a customer of Chini's Burritos for over a year now. This spot was recommended to me by a friend and I would frequent it often the first 3-6 months. I usually get the #1 (mostly) Orig Burrito, steak or beef or the #4 Tacos, steak or beef. But I've had the tostadas, quesadilla, huevos revueltos, sopa de tortilla and guacamole. ***FOOD: -The burritos are large, I will give them that. But inside, there is more rolled up tortilla shell then anything else. Somewhat skimpy with the meat and other fillings. -I've always thought the ground beef mixture was that a of low quality ground beef. -When ordering steak instead, the steak is usually fatty, oily and not very much of it. -The stewed shredded chicken is FLAVORLESS- Mind boggling. I've tried it a few times to make sure it wasn't a bad batch. It wasn't, it just sucks. -Refried pinto beans are delicious! -Guacamole, not any kind of guac I've ever had. It's just chunks and no flavor. -The red sauce that comes on the side is hardly ever spicy. It's usually red water with chili pepper flakes in it that still doesn't give any heat. I asked Mrs. Chini why that was one day and she replied "Sometimes the peppers are hot, sometimes they're not." WHAT? *Slaps forehead* That doesn't even make sense! Buy your peppers somewhere else then! ***SERVICE (The reason we're here today): -Usually when ordering my burritos, I like to add onions but they're HUGE, chunky strips of onion; not what I want in my burrito and I LOVE onions. So when I was in my steak burrito phase, I added grilled onions. They were still big chunks, but was ok because they grilled them. Now, when I ordered a ground beef burrito and asked for grilled onions, this is what Mrs. Chini replied with: " You can only add cooked onions to a steak burrito because we cook the meat and onions together. We're not going to make extra work for you." I was shocked that she said that but I still kept going back. -Their quesadillas come with the shredded chicken and as I already established; I don't care for it. So, when I ordered, I asked for steak. Mrs. Chini replied" We don't put steak in quesdillas, only chicken". Even if I paid for it- unbelievable. -As soon as Nick's Pizzeria next door opened, prices went up and steak became $1 extra. I would say that's fair, but the prices were already steep to begin with. -The most recent and reason why I will not go back: I called to order 2 tacos for lunch to hold me off until dinner and Mr. Chini answered. I told him I'd like 2 beef tacos, add rice and sour cream. He needed to put Mrs. Chini on because it something not on the menu. When Mrs. Chini got on the phone, I told her the same thing. She replied: "You want rice and sour cream on your taco?". "Yes, just like a burrito without rolling it up" I said. "We never do that. If you want rice, you can get the plate" she replied. She wouldn't charge me for the rice and put it on my taco. I told her a few things about her customer service and ended the call. ***Conclusion: These people have owned this restaurant for 11+ years and have no clue how to please their customers. Don't get me wrong, they're nice, but order something different than how it's printed on the menu and it becomes a big deal. It shouldn't, I mean, come on, they own a restaurant! If it weren't for the terrible service, I would continue to over pay for my food and send people there, but not anymore. In this case, I choose Taco Bell. One last thing, there is another menu on the wall inside that has items not listed on the paper menu. I've always found that irritating because I knew there's something on it that I wanted to try and couldn't remember.

  • Jordan K.

It's hard to believe all the positive reviews here. This place is down right expensive and the owner seems bothered to help you when you come in. I had 2 taco's the other day, and it was damn near $7! I couldn't believe it, and they were cheaply made..a little ground beef, a pinch of lettuce, some imitation cheese sprinkled on top, and the smallest tortilla they could possibly find. Do yourself a favor, don't go in here until the prices drop and the lady who takes the orders learns customer service.

    (2)
  • Josh S.

I've had better burritos from food trucks the midwest. The only good thing about this place is that it's authentic. I ordered the number 2 with verde sauce and it didn't have any flavor. The best part was the tomato inside. No spices, flavor, or silverware. Do yourself a favor and go down the road to Zona Fresca if you want a delicious burrito.

    (2)
  • Adrianna U.

Pretty good burrito place! It's definitely a very different taste than your normal chipotle or Zona fresca down the road. And that's what makes the burrito unique and great. I still need to try something other than the chicken burrito,so expect another review!

Tried this spot tonight after coming across their Yelp page. Little hole in the wall place that has been around for 12 years... how have I not known up until now? Anyway, older lady, the owner, super beyond friendly & very nice. I ordered the #2 since it seemed to be most popular on here and was not disappointed. It was massive and got it wet with the red sauce, but got the spicy green on the side, which actually had a lot more flavor in my opinion (so next time I will be getting the green instead). You MUST ABSOLUTELY get the guacamole and chips. Both homemade and super authentic... Sooo delicious. The guacamole was definitely the highlight of the trip for me. I will be back and next time I think I'll try the fish tacos. Yum!

They accept CREDIT CARDS. ... Yelpers have been steering me in the wrong mexican direction for years. For that reason I came here expecting the worse. I looked at the window that reads "Eeeexactly like home cooking!" and smirked thinking yeah right, in Coral Springs? At first bite oh boy, was I so glad SOMEONE in south Florida knows what authentic mexican food is supposed to taste like! I could kidnap this owner and take her home! Having lived in the southwest for years I can say that this place is the truth! Homemade, the tortillas are soft and lovely no Publix bought crap here like many high rated Mex places in south florida yuck! Blah! Plew! No gringo tacos w american cheese, sour cream and lettuce! The owners are fabulous and so nice. The Pico de gallo, crazy. The burrito as everyone said, fantastic! The fish tacos, get the heck out of here, am I in Chiapas? Sinaloa? Riviera Maya? *sigh* it sure tastes like it! If you love real Mexican and are in the area check this little hole in the wall out. Even if you're not, it's well worth the drive.

Really good! It's down and dirty - not literally. Servings were plenty big and very reasonably priced. It's mostly a take out place but 6 tables to eat in. Chips and salsa are sold separately. We will be back

  • Candace J.

Go to La Union Mexican Bakery in Coral Springs, the service and the food is way better. Chini's Burritos is expensive and overrated. I have had better Mexican food; it could be because I am from Washington State. Washington State has a lot of Mexicans. I will not be going back to Chini. I do not recommend this place for Mexican food.

  • Tia S.

People there were rude like they didn't want to wait on you.they had no avocado, which was weird, but you could buy the guacamole for 5.00 extra if you wanted it on your tacos.attitude is everything to run a successful buisness, and that day, their attitude was not welcoming.I just walked out.

The burrito was decent and authentic but the chicken lacked flavor.

By far my favorite Mexican. It's like eating in your Mexican grandma's kitchen. The guacamole is amazing. The shrimp tacos are pure perfection. Just remember that it's cash only

If authenticity and a nod to heritage is at all interesting to you then this is a must stop for the best burritos in town. Everything is hand made from fresh ingredients at the time of order. Owner is so gracious and friendly, it's like eating w/ family. Menu is full of good eats from top to bottom! Coral Springs is VERY fortunate to play host to this local small business owner...a must stop! Your smile and full belly will be reward enough!

Definitely the best Mexican food around! I used to live in New Mexico so being able to have and authentic mexican restaurant right around the corner is amazing. Excellent wet burritos the guacamole is made right to order and the homemade salsa is the bomb!!! If you haven't been there you need to go ASAP!

I love this place! If you're ever in the mood for traditional Mexican cuisine, you have got to stop in a have a bite here! Tacos, burritos and tamales are all tasty and great portion sizes. The queso blanco and homemade sauces don't hurt either! This "mom and pop joint" takes the cake for quick take out Mexican food. The owners are so appreciative of the customers and are always friendly!!!

Excellent food and service. Everything is fresh and homemade. The chips and guacamole was exceptional, as was the wet steak burrito. My sons enjoyed their tacos and quesadillas. We will definitely be back.

I went to Chini's yesterday and was not impressed. I got the chicken tostadas and (like others mentioned) the stewed chicken was flavorless and had no spice. None of the food seemed like it had seasoning. My lunch date ordered the steak wet burrito - which was huge, but mentioned that the red sauce had no flavor. For lunch it is pretty expensive. Paid $23 for one burrito, tostados and 1 drink that we shared. I like Lime and Zona Fresca better. It may be authentic Mexican and maybe I am jaded from being a spice/hot sauce freak..but it wasn't my liking. The lady at the front was nice and they do bring your food to your table. Nobody was in the place at 12:30 on a Monday during lunch.

This is maybe the 3 or 4th time I've been to this place and I think this time might be the last. I got the wet burrito and the red sauce on it was cold. So was the burrito, which had maybe half to 3/4's cup of flavorless chicken and the rest was filled with lettuce. LOT'S of lettuce because this is the large burrito shell. And when you're trying to cut through something that big and wet, you can't do it with plastic knives and forks. And guacamole???? 'Scuse me, but that isn't anything but chunks of avocado and some tomato in it. That's not guacamole on the rest of the planet. The chips it comes with are made there, I'm sure, but they should go back to ordering them from a purveyor instead. I'm from Chicago and there are lot's of places that make them and market them to mexican restaurants. Mama Chinni better not leave the restaurant on Saturdays cause the girls there need help with their cooking. Another reviewer stated if the choice was between here and Taco Bell he'd take Chinni's but I wouldn't.

Just stopped in for my favorite fish burrito in the world. Fresh ingredients that are homemade and delicious. You can't get this stuff at one of those chain places.

Great Mexican home made food. I thought I was in Mexico. It can't get any more real than this unless you are in Mexico. Everything cooked to order. Try any burrito wet. Family run business that really cares about the customer. Great value for the money. My wife and I ate and were stuffed for $20.. Cash only.

This was literally the WORST food (of any nationality) that I have ever had. I decided to give this place a try after seeing it a few times while in the plaza. I had high expectations I suppose, I pictured a small mom and pop place with mouth watering burritos, not a dump with garbage food. I gave one star for the sheer fact that the older lady behind the counter was nice. I ordered the chicken burrito and asked for a side of white rice and a small cup of guacamole. She pointed to the wall and said guacamole is $6! I almost fell over. I was glad I passed on the guac as well, she walked by with a miniture stryrofoam bowl with avacado and tomatoes in it? And no white rice only yellow. The plain burrito was WAY over priced. Talk about sticker shock, and I have no problem paying for good food but this tube of tasteless gruel was really really awful. She asked if I would like some 'spicy hot sauce" and I did. It tasted like butter with red food coloring, I have had cupcakes that were spicier, there was literally NO taste to it. I ended up tossing the whole thing after two disgusting bites. I will NEVER go back to this place. Please save your money (and its a lot) and your taste pallet.

Fresh, consistent, and delicious. The owner is very nice and helpful. Great homemade guacamole, it has huge chunks of avocado in it. The fish tacos and steak burritos are sublime. If you want a real, authentic Mexican food this is it. Chini's is small and nondescript. If you are looking for ambiance, this place isn't for you. If you want exceptional, unpretentious, Mexican food, Chini's has my vote. Oh! The only bummer is its cash only.

I moved to south Florida from Chicago and have been looking for a good authentic Mexican restaurant. I'm so glad to give this place try because this is officially my new favorite Mexican place. I tried their wet burrito and i loved it. my wife ordered their fish tacos and it was off the hook.. The fish was very well seasoned and flavorful . Both our dishes came with their homemade salsa. The salsa was definitely freshly made. I am definitely coming back again . This is definitely a place I will visit on a weekly basis ..

So I read all the good reviews about this place so I decoded to go and try it today and found out it lives up to the reviews. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. The place was pretty clean but could of been a little cleaner but not a big deal. I ordered the original burrito and I have to say it was a good size and the taste and quality was very good. It's not ur typical American Mexican food it's real Mexican food. I really enjoyed it and will go back again. The only draw back like others have stated it is a cash only business so make sure to stop at an ATM before you go.

Yum! I love this place! The burritos are great, and the service is always friendly! Walking in, you feel at home. The woman behind the counter was warm and friendly, and seemed to know many of the other customers. The nice thing was that, while the food was great, it felt like she treated me like a regular, though it was my first time here! I think the only thing that would make this place better would be for them to accept plastic, but I'll come back regardless!

Not the worst burrito I have had but it was definitely in the bottom 3. I went with some friends and we got 2 burritos and a quesadilla. All 3 of us did not like our food. The burritos were dripping some odd liquid. The meat tasted sort of like the grill needed to be cleaned. If I had the choice between this or Taco Bell I would choose Chinis but if the choice was between this and pretty much any other mexican/burrito place I would probably choose the other place and would recommend you do the same.

Not bad. I think what makes me a fan of this place is because it's not corporate. It I had to choose between Chini's, Taco Bell, or Chipolte Grill, I would pick Chini's all the time. I walked in and a nice older woman was working the front, I think it was the owner. She gave me the recommendation to have the burrito with the salsa Verde instead of the red sauce. I also wanted to try the soft tacos and yellow rice too. In about 15 minutes or less I was out the door and the woman working the front said, I hope you like it so you come back. You never hear that in a fast food joint. The burrito was huge. All the ingredients were fresh, but the ground beef was lacking something either salt or sauce not really sure. But overall it was good. This wasn't the standard wet burrito covered in cheese and sauce, that I'm used to. It was authentic Mexican style not American style. I think my palette has been tainted, in a negative way, over the years eating american-mexician food. The cheese they used was the queso blanco which sets it apart from other places that use cheddar jack cheese. The tacos were good and I'm glad I got some hot salsa to pour on top. Again, the tortillas had to be homemade. They just had a fresher taste that I am used to. I got the rice because you can tell a lot about a place when it comes to rice. I will bet money that this Mexican style rice is made from scratch. It was fluffy, had a nice color and it was well seasoned. Overall, everything was good. To answer the question by the nice lady working there, I did like it and yes I will be back:) Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

We go there at least once a week and have never had a bad meal. Love the food, atmosphere and courteous service. Chipotle is just down the street; however we haven't been there since we found this place. Love it.

Always looking for a good burrito place, and friends told us about Chini's, we decided to give it try today. Let me review on two areas. Food Taste/Quality: This I was pleased with. Not 'outstanding' but definitely different than Chipotle or Moe's. The 2nd area is price/value. This is where I think it fell short. We paid $18 for Plate 1 (3 small fish tacos) with a little bit of rice and a little bit of beans) and Plate 2 (A tiny cheese quesadilla with again a little bit of rice and a little bit of beans, and 'salad' which wasn't more than a few pieces of lettuce with a tomato on top. Will I go again? Probably not...but if I was with folks that 'had to go' I would go along. Cash Only.

As a burrito connoisseur, I am always on the search for different burrito joints in south Florida. To my luck, this unpretentious restaurant is in my neck of the woods and makes the best steak burrito I have ever had. For me, that is quite a statement because I am from Chicago which is the land of burrito shops around every street corner. The customer service is solid and they are always courteous to my friends and family. Only fall back is that they are cash only, but stopping by the ATM on my way there is well worth it.

Chini's is great. I had their chicken tamales and spicy red sauce. It was a good portion and a good price. The best part was seeing the two ladies in the back making the food. Authentic and yummy!

I was finally was able to make it to Chini's and quite honestly, they make a very good burrito. The girl who took our order and brought us our food was very nice and even told us of the special that they had. The food there was about as delicious as it can get. I had a steak burrito and my wife had two ground beef taco's, both were good and the steak definitly pulled its weight in the flavor catagory. If you live anywhere near Chini's and want a good crack at some authentic Mexican fare, then Chini's is it.

Fresh, delicious and home made! Been looking for a good, authentic taco place in West Broward. Hubby brought home fish tacos, my first time. FABULOSO! Freshly cooked, light and fluffy fish, great home made salsas and fresh ingredients. We're ready to go back!

This place is great! Small menu but has authentic Mexican burritos and more. They use fresh ingredients for everything and everything is served as its cooked and is hot and ready. I wouldn't go with a large crowd because it is very small. Also they dont accept credit cards so be sure to bring cash.

The food is amazing and the people are just as kind. Chini is such a sweetheart and it's my sincere pleasure to dine there. Everything is fresh and made to order. My weakness is their beef empanada. Make sure you are sitting, when you eat it, as it's so good it will make your knees buckle. Their homemade tastes and their red and green sauce make you feel like you're in Mexico. They have spoiled me on Mexican food, and no one else can compare or hold a candle to Chini's!

Based on all the great reviews I headed over tonight to try this place - I was not disappointed. I had tamales, chile relleno and a couple soft ground beef tacos - everything was so fresh and delicious. The rice was a bit dry was really the only part of the meal that I didn't eat - I love rice, perhaps it's the style but I didn't care for it. The sauces are awesome and Chini was so nice. This is a great little place - you will not be disappointed.

Fabulous, authentic Mexican fair. It is so difficult to find good Mexican food in the 'burbs, but these guys hit it on the head. The pork tacos are simple, but awesome, the tamales are amazing and the guacamole is to die for. Eat like a king for chump change!

If you like excellent, fresh and simple Mexican food, this is the place. easily the best Mexican food in Coral Springs. The food has the freshest ingredients and with homemade sauces that are so tasty. Food in not swimming in unappealing melted cheese and you actually feel that the food is healthy as well as flavorful. The atmosphere is nothing fancy but for food lovers, this is the place.

Yummy! I went here for lunch and we had our food in less than 5 min. I had the steak burrito and it was delicious. The extremely friendly front desk clerk took our order and even brought us out our food practically instantly. She even showed us the right technique to show us how to eat our burrito. A definite must in Coral Springs! True authentic Mexican cuisine! It is cash only so do pass by the ATM before you go. So... Worth the trip!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
